Have you noticed anything different lately? Like more and more people are connecting on LinkedIn and Twitter? And people you haven’t heard from in a very long time are checking back in.

There’s a good reason for this. We have finally figured out that we don’t need to go it alone. This is a radical shift from last year when personal circumstances kept many of us from sharing the challenges of our lives and work. We felt others had figured life out, but we had not.

This year we’ve gotten smarter. We realize that job and financial changes have affected all of society. We’re really not to blame at all; the world is topsy turvy.

Smart people know that putting together a strong support team is the best antidote to challenging times. So, in honor of all of you smarty pants, I am naming 2010 The Year of Collective Brilliance.

This means we come together, support one another, and learn from one another in an effort to better our own circumstances and those of others.

It is togetherness of the highest order for this new year!

In Transition? Of course…We All Are!
